3/19/09 - Featured In Time-Out New York 'Kids'
Today Kent picked up the April '09 Time Out New York 'Kids' magazine today. He bought this particular issue because on page 22, he is featured as one of the best and least costly kid's events performers in Manhattan.

2/24/09:
Kent has set up an appointment with an amazing film company to shoot some small instructional videos for the website... that's right... FREE MAGIC (and high quality too) Look for new videos soon.
2/23/09: Kent is putting the finishing touches on his new show "Close-up, and Personal". It's an hour long presentation of Kent's development in close-up magic, starting at the tender age of 6. Contact for more information on where to see it, or how to get Kent to perform the show at your event or venue."
2/22/09:
Kent has just had a meeting with some associates of his. There will be magical things happening in Manhattan. Keep your eyes open. Check back for updates.
2/16/09:
"Hello everyone, Kent here! Sorry about the long time between updates, things have been pretty insane between my homes in NYC and in Maine. But I'm back in Manhattan for good, and you should be seeing a lot more of me starting right now!"
Godspell: (finished)
As Godspell comes to a close, we'd like to thank all of our friends and new family that helped us put up this wonderful production. Thanks everyone, we had a very good time.
Kent has been hired (as well as his girlfriend, Shayna) to go to a community theater in central Maine to put on a production of the musical, Godspell. And you can bet that it will be magical. Rehearsals begin late in March, the show will go up late in May. Check the website closer to production time for more information.
A Magic Class Grows In Brooklyn:
Kent is teaming up with the wonderful James Tatad to teach yet another magic class. This time, in Brooklyn! (how exciting!) Anyway, this class is running for only 5 weeks, as it is kind of a preview of a possibly longer class. It's got a pot-luck theme and it's very casual and laid back. So, if you are interested in our little class, contact Kent at Kent.Axell@kentaxellmagic.com to find out more information.
Halloween!
At MegaBytes cafe Halloween party, (free games, popcorn movies, net, tournaments!), on broadway, between 141 and 142, on Halloween night, Kent Axell, along with Will Bradshaw, will be performing magic sets all night long starting at 9pm. At the end of the night, 12 midnight, they will perform a Seance using the same techniques that mediums have been using for hundreds of years... spooky.
Contact Kent for more information on the event.
Campaigning to end poverty by 2015
Exciting new developement! Kent Axell will be working with the united nations in efforts to break yet another world record! He and the U.N. will be making a short magic movie in support of the campaign, to inspire others to make their own youtube films!
Last year, over 23 million people around the world stood up for one solid minute to let their governments know that they must move toward an end to poverty. This year we hope to break our own record. So everyone, please, on October 16, and 17, take one minute to stand up with the intent of ending poverty. Better yet, find a stand up event and participate there. If you can't find an event, go to this website and let us know that you've stood up for a better tomarrow. http://www.standagainstpoverty.org/
Check out the video made by Kent and the U.N. camera crew!
